The Axioms of Probability
In Forex, **Confluence** is the alignment of multiple technical factors at a single price point. It transforms "Guesses" into "High-Probability Hypotheses." The core axiom is the **Cluster Effect**—where independent variables converge to form an institutional Point of Interest (POI).
- Independent Variables: Why signals must come from different sources (Price Structure, Momentum Indicators, and Fibonacci levels) to be statistically valid.
- Structural Dominance: Price action structure (HH/HL) always supersedes indicator data. Indicators are secondary confirmation, not primary drivers.
Confluence Stratification
We categorize confluence factors into a hierarchy of importance. A professional setup requires a minimum of 3 factors from different tiers.
Tier 1: Primary
Higher Timeframe Trend Alignment & Key S/R Zones. The "Foundation" of the trade thesis.
Tier 2: Secondary
Price Action Rejection (Pin Bars/Engulfing) & EMA Dynamic Support. The "Trigger" of the entry.
Tier 3: Tertiary
RSI Divergence, Fibonacci 61.8% Retracement, and Session Overlap. The "Precision" filter.
The Orchestration Checklist
Before any capital is deployed, the setup must pass the **Confluence Protocol**. If any mandatory factor is missing, the setup is classified as "Noise" and ignored.
- HTF Alignment: Is the Daily/4H trend in sync with my 15M entry?
- Zone Validation: Is price reacting to a historically significant liquidity zone?
- Signal Integrity: Is there a clear momentum shift (Engulfing) or rejection (Pin Bar)?
- Risk/Reward Ratio: Is the potential gain at least 3x the risk?
